Glazed Lemon Brownies
Glazed Lemon Brownies are quick and easy to make plus they taste delicious. Topped with a lemon glaze, these brownies are a lemon lovers dream come true!
As I type this I’m on a 2 day juicing cleanse and I gotta tell you that this is hard stuff. I’ve always thought juicing would be easy, but as 3:00pm wore on, I realized I was hungry and would love something to munch on. As you all know I’m trying to get back into shape and eat healthier.
As my getting in shape journey is progressing, I’m realizing that I need to have a happy medium of healthy foods and sweets. When you’re so used to eating sweets it’s hard to take them out of your diet because you (ok I) will seriously get sad, mad and even angry. I’m one of those girls that will eat two or three brownies, just because they taste so darn good and I want to.
I have no will power at all. It’s a horrible trait and I’m trying to change it. So last week before I knew I was starting this 2 day juice cleanse I wanted something cake-y but also lemony. I love everything lemon, but I rarely bake with lemons. Why is that?
As a food blogger I have 1,000 new ideas running through my head at any one time and I always want to try new recipes. I’ve been thinking of lemon recipes for a while. There have been so many ideas running wild in my little brain that the lemon brownies just came together and clicked. I’m so happy that I made them and let me tell you these brownies are so good.
Moist cake-y lemon brownies topped with a lemon glaze. These brownies are a lemon lovers dream come true. I couldn’t believe how good these actually turned out and now as I’m juicing and typing this, I’m craving just a bite or two. Just a little nibble. Then I hear my subconscious saying, “NO Cyndi, you gotta stay true to yourself and that means getting this body healthy and in shape.” Okay, okay subconscious you’re right. No brownies for me right now.
So will you please rush to your kitchen and make these Glazed Lemon Brownies. Then take a picture and tag My Kitchen Craze, so I can live vicariously through you. Pretty please? It would really make my day. I hope you all loves these as much as I do. Happy Wednesday!

These brownies look incredible, Cyndi! I’m in awe of the lemon flavor. I’ve never thought to make a brownie with something other than chocolate, although one time I did try a white chocolate version and it was an epic recipe fail. But these sound amazing! Love the fresh flavor. Pinned!
Thank you Gayle! These brownies are pretty delicious! Thanks for the pin love friend!
This looks fantastic! I love lemon sweets and I would have never thought to do a lemon brownie, pure genius! Pinning! Thanks for sharing!
Thank you Amber! These brownies are delicious! 🙂
Drooling all over this recipe! I give you a lot of credit for doing this cleanse. I don’t think I could do it. I love solid foods and sweets too much. I just try and eat in moderation and listen to my body <3 Good luck on your health journey.
It was hard Erin! I wish I had a little more will power to eat in moderation. Thanks sweetie! Let’s hope I can get my body into shape. 🙂
I never really bake with lemons all that often either, except for when I’m baking for my mother in law. Lemon desserts are her fave. I’ll pass this along to her!
Thank you Des!!
I’ve never had a lemon brownie before and I’m dying to get my hands on one!!
Thanks Jenny B. Wish I had a few left to send over to you! 🙂
These look crazy good! I have no idea how you can even stand to look at the photos while on a cleanse!

The brownies look amazing Cyndi, lemon desserts are always a favorite! I don’t think I can ever do juice diet, it’s so hard but more power to you! I can imagine how hard it must be to resist all this?!!
Thank you sweetie! 🙂
Girl. Mad props to you! I could never do a juice cleanse. i am way too much of a ‘eat what sounds good right this moment’ rather than a structured meal plan. But I have always been tempted! You will have to let me know how it goes!
And these bars? I will gladly come take them off your hands as I can NEVER turn down any form of a lemon bar!
Haha thanks Meg! I hated the juicing cleanse, but just wanted to jump start my body. I felt great afterward so I guess that’s good. Wish I had some to send over to you!
These look amazing!! I can imagine how delicious these must be!
Thank you Ami! 😉
These look lovely and delicious. Can I use limes instead of lemons?
Thank you Jehan. I haven’t made these brownies with limes, so I’m not sure how they would turn out. Limes have a different flavor than lemons, so I don’t think they would taste the same. If you do try it let me know how they turn out please. I’m curious to know if they will taste just as good. Thanks for stopping by. 🙂
I will definitely try using limes as we can’t find the variety of lemon you’ve used. I’m newbie blogger trying to find new blogger friends from the otherside of the world.
Hi Jehan!! If you need any help or anything don’t hesitate to email me. You can get my email in my about me. Have fun blogging! 🙂
This is what I love about blogging Cyndi.☺
Meeting new blogger moms is still new to me but I love the willingness to help and share.
I will definitely get in touch with you as soon as the kids are done with their exams here.
Thank you again for offering to help me.
much love from sri lanka.
Hi. I went and bought the ingredients to make this and upon starting noticed you said to add cream. It isn’t listed in the ingredients and I didn’t buy any….too late now to go get it for my potluck. Is cream in the recipe or is this a typo? Thanks,
Hi Sarah, no there is no cream. I was scared I missed an ingredient, hehe. I just meant to cream the butter and sugar together. I went a head and changed the directions. Thanks for stopping by and I hope you like these lemon brownies. I’d love any more feedback you have. Thanks so much! 🙂 Happy potluck!
