Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Add pasta and cook for 8 to 10 minutes, drain and place back in large pot.
While the pasta is cooking, heat a large skillet to medium heat. Add 2 tablespoons butter. Once melted, add the shrimp. Cook for 5 minutes, making sure not to move or stir shrimp. This will ensure that your shrimp gets a nice roasted texture. Then turn shrimp over to the other side. Cook for additional 5 minutes, following the same steps listed above. Once the shrimp is cooked, add the garlic and red chili flakes. Toss to coat and cook for additional 1-2 minutes. Remove shrimp to small bowl.
Add the remanning tablespoon of butter and vodka to the same skillet. Cook until vodka cooks down and is reduced by half, about 3-4 minutes.
Stir in tomato sauce and half and half. Simmer uncovered for 10-12 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Add the sauce the pasta and stir to coat. Then add the Parmesan cheese, shrimp and basil.
Serve immediately and enjoy!
