30 Minute Shrimp Scampi is fast becoming a favorite in our house. With only 10 ingredients (which most are spices that you most likely will have in your pantry) and 30 minutes, you can have a fresh and delicious meal on your dinner table!

30 Minute Shrimp Scampi

Ingredients

  • 8 ounces 1/2 of a 1 pound box spaghetti
  • 1/2 - 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes optional
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 pound shrimp peeled and deveined
  • 1/2 cup 1 stick butter, cubed
  • 2 small shallots about 1/2 cup, diced
  • 4 fresh cloves garlic minced
  • 1 cup dry white wine
  • 1 small lemon juiced, about 2 tablespoon or more if wanted
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 3 tablespoons parsley chopped

Instructions

  • Using a large soup pot, cook pasta according to package details. Once cooked run cold water over them, drizzle with olive oil; set aside.
  • Place shrimp and spices in a medium bowl. Stir to combine; set aside.
  • While the pasta is cooking, melt butter in a large sauce pan over medium-high heat. Add in the shallots and cook 3 minutes. Add in garlic and cook additional 30 seconds.
  • Add shrimp to butter mixture. Stirring constantly, cook 4-6 minutes, or until cooked through.
  • Stir in wine, 1-2 tablespoons lemon juice and bring to a small boil. Boil for 30 seconds, stirring constantly. Sprinkle half of the Parmesan cheese over mixture and stir to incorporate.
  • Mix shrimp with prepared pasta in a serving bowl. Sprinkle with remaining cheese and parsley.
  • Serve immediately.
